Welcome

I am an assistant professor of political science at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. I focus in the subfield of American Politics with particular research interests in identity-based politics, personal value systems, and trust in government. I primarily approach my research through the lens of political psychology, utilizing experimental methodology but also inform my research with my past experience as a policy analyst in Washington, D.C.  I use these interests to invigorate undergraduate learning in the classroom, where I teach undergraduate research methods, U.S. government, state and local politics, gender and politics, and campaign and elections, among other courses. In Spring 2017, I was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award, a university-wide recognition nominated by graduating seniors.
